Wimpole Street London
This central London office refurbishment takes a light-touch approach to provide free-flowing work space and meeting rooms for two investment companies. The well-lit spaces at the front of the building are enhanced with bright tones and bespoke lighting design, whilst the spaces to the rear are made more atmospheric with a dark grey palette.
The main part of the refurbishment was the provision of five bespoke joinery units to create additional storage. Built using three-ply laminated timber and dark grey MDF, these units were designed by Archio to suit the specific storage and display requirements of the two clients, and to give visual continuity throughout the space.
The result is an unfussy contemporary office space that maximises the natural lighting conditions of the Edwardian building.
