As we face the dual challenges of a climate emergency and a housing crisis, the need for warm, comfortable homes has never been more urgent. The upgrade of social housing is not just a necessity but a vital step for the health and wellbeing of the UK population. However, the scale of this problem can seem insurmountable. At Archio, we believe that effective communication and engagement are key to delivering the social housing retrofit projects we so desperately need.
We are excited to announce an upcoming event with London Festival of Architecture where we will showcase our work with Local Authorities and Housing Associations on Neighbourhood Level Retrofit Guides and Retrofit Engagement. This event will be a gathering of key players in this burgeoning sector, including our esteemed hosts, Levitt Bernstein, who share our passion for creating a sustainable future within the built environment.

Showcase of our Retrofit Co-Design Toolkit: We will be introducing our new Retrofit Co-Design Toolkit, as well as our original Co-Design Toolkit, published in 2022. Our comprehensive guides are designed to facilitate effective co-design projects, ensuring that entire communities can benefit from sustainable and inventive improvements.
Showcase of our most successful Retrofit and Co-Design Project:We will be displaying information boards, photographs and our customisable model, built within our Studio, for our award winning Becontree project!
Panel Discussions with Industry Leaders:Engage with thought leaders from various sectors within the built environment. Our panel discussions will focus on the challenges and opportunities in retrofitting social housing, highlighting successful case studies and exploring future strategies.
