200 Becontree Avenue is a new pair of social housing 'villas' in the heart of the historic Becontree Estate - still Europe's largest ever housing estate!
The Estate was planned around garden city principles, with open landscape and pockets of greenery that provide space to breathe. Our villas pick up on this, and playfully interpret architectural details, such as exaggerated dormers, white semicircular arches and round windows.
We are extremely proud that it's been shortlisted as a finalist in the Housing category at the Architects’ Journal Awards 2022 and the New London Architecture Awards 2022.
