Public Housing: A London Renaissance
May 2019
By Eleanor Connolly

Archio has contributed to the latest research from New London Architecture, which explores the resurgence taking place in the provision of new public housing in London.

The draft London Plan more than doubles the targets of some outer London boroughs, whilst the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government says that London needs to deliver 100,000 homes. So how do councils deliver these huge increases?

'Public Housing: a London renaissance' features two of our projects, London Community Land Trust and Becontree Avenue.

The exhibition showcases exemplary projects from across the capital. It examines how London boroughs are working to deliver high-quality, affordable housing and comprehensively working with communities to deliver these much-needed homes.

Our co-director Kyle Buchanan will be speaking at the NLA Public Housing conference on 23rd May.

The exhibition is free and runs until the 18th of July 2019 at the NLA.

The book is available to buy and download here.
