We are delighted that our director Kyle Buchanan was recently asked to speak to BIM+, the website providing a central BIM hub aimed at contractors, consultants, design professionals and clients, on how Archio, as a smaller practice, are adopting BIM.
In the interview Kyle talks of the immediate benefits of BIM; providing a better service for clients and improving efficiency and profitability on projects, as well as discussing the future benefits and how these are potentially the most exciting for Archio.
Discussing the costs of BIM, Kyle notes Archio’s strategy to run the relatively small practice as we would a larger one; having the right systems and processes in place allows for quicker and greater expansion.
Kyle also highlights the training which Archio have needed in Revit , with the team now using BIM software on 90% of projects, and although it has been a big learning curve the benefits are already visible throughout the practice.
