On the 24th June Archio had a Party-O in our Dalston office as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2016 and RIBA Open Studios.
With the sun shining after a week of rain, we opened the doors and ushered in members of the public, collaborators, friends and clients, with drinks and suitable party nibbles to meet the Archio team, each other and spend time discussing and showcasing our work. As a finalist for the BD Young Architect of the Year 2016, we also brought in a few bottles of bubbly to celebrate.
With the tension of the Brexit result reverberating around London, we eagerly welcomed our first guests at 5pm. Some were from nearby, whilst others came from a lot further afield, with a special mention to James from Switzerland, and Aisling from Paris who had respectively stepped off their planes/ trains just hours earlier to join in with Archio’s celebrations.
By early evening our office was full of people, gently spilling into the streets to enjoy the warm weather. Our fantastic display of models had been discussed, new contacts had been made and politics had been put to right by the time we went off in different directions after a very successful evening.
Thank you to those who came, and we hope to see you at the next one.
